Happiness,

I’ll endure.

These are true

Words, my love.

I love you.

Thunder.
A sound from which a man,
Deaf and dumb,
Cowers in fear.
A roar which makes
Walls stumble.
Faces freeze.
Animals cry.

Powerful it comes,
Bringing with it
The fearsome sparks of
Lightning
And the sorrowful falling of
Rain.
Together they bond
To conceive a creature.

A creature so fearsome.
A creature hiding behind
Thunderous facades
And electric gestures.
Yet, all the while,
So gentle,
With tears of rain,
That no one may fathom
Its true nature.

A lonesome soul,
Yearning to know this creature.
Wishing to walk in the downfall.
Wishing to feel the truth.
A caring soul,
Wishing to end the storm;
End the terror.

This soul
Attempts to breathe happiness
Into a creature so lost.
Instead, there, in the darkest clouds,
Is found
That all hope,
All wishes,
All dreams,
Must be abandoned.

The creature
Cannot be transformed.
The soul cannot save
What will forever be lost.

Have you ever felt like the one who knew you most,

Could never tell what was on your mind?

That someone who could understand your every thought,

Must be impossible to find?

I feel that dreadful feeling every morning, every evening,

Of every single monotonous day.

Though I push back the loneliness every minute I’m awake,

I’m never able to push it away.

So tell me that you’ll always love and cherish me,

Or tell me that you’re my friend.

And I’ll know your words are only half the truth,

Because this loneliness still won’t end.

A slow and steady pace,
Up the tallest hill;
Anticipation climbing, too.
Feeling confident in my choices,
And what I plan to do.

Then, I reach the top.
See the lights stretching far;
My future ahead of me.
Determined to reach my goals,
All the lights that I can see.

Suddenly I fall,
My stomach doing flips;
My future suddenly unclear.
I cannot see how those goals,
Could ever have seemed so near.

Before I know it,
I’ve reached the end worse off;
Because of what I’ve felt.
Once again unhappy with the things,
The life, that I’ve been dealt.



Look deep down where true feelings lie
Then here my sound and see me walk by
Know that I have looked inside too
And then get this feeling and look inside you
A feeling that squeezes a feeling that yerns
A feeling that pleases, yet a feeling that burns
A feeling a poem’s the only way to convey
True feelings which in the heart cannot stay
Poetry seems to be the one source
From which feelings can come and not stray off course
And now for the 7th and penultimate time
I will end this couplette with an int’resting rhyme.
But I must say, before my adieu
That I most profoundly can’t not love you.
